Learning How to Sit

Below are pics of Sarah in her little "Bumbo" seat. It goes higher on the back so her head can't fall completely back. She seems to not mind this seat much which is good. It helps her to gain control of holding her own head up and gain the confidence to know that she CAN do it on her own. At first she didn't know what to think about it since she doesn't have as much support and someone holding her, but she got the hang of it quickly and even started turning her head from one side to the other. We already feel like she is becoming such a big girl, and yet these milestones are only the tip of the iceberg. Gizmo and Gracie are always around her checking on her to see what she is up to and make sure she is ok. Gracie loves giving Sarah kisses all over and lately Sarah will even smile at her when she gets them. Other times her eyes just get big and she blinks a lot because Gracie gets up close. Hopefully they will be best friends :) She is just so precious to us and always puts a smile on our face. Sometimes we just look at her in awww because she is such a beautiful wonderful baby!!

PS - today was the first day since Friday early morning that she did not throw up a big one. Hopefully she is starting to get over this stomach bug.

Happy Easter!

Below are a couple pics of Sarah in her adorable little Easter dress. Grandma and Grandpa Chittom sent Sarah an Easter box with goodies. In it also was this little dress. It is perfect for Sarah. She looked like a little angel. I wish she had a little more hair, ha ha ha!!

Sarah has had a stomach flu for a couple days (which has NOT been fun), and then I caught it from her yesterday, so I didn't get to enjoy our company for Easter. That bummed me out. Sarah has her 4 month check up on April 7th (I cannot believe it!!) and today we bought her a bumbo. This is a comfortable little chair for babies to help them learn to sit up on their own. It has a high backing to help with their head and a piece that goes between their legs so they can't slide down. We put her in it for a couple mins today and she was so cute. She was doing really well with holding her head up. It was exciting to see her sitting up without anyone behind her (even though the chair helps her a little bit). A couple of my friends that had babies before me told me to get this because it really helped with sitting up. I can see how it does :-) Our little baby is growing up!!!!

3 Months old, A Visit, & A Birthday!!

WOW!! I know I am a few days late, but Sarah is 3 months old as of last Friday. I cannot believe how much time has flown by. She is growing so quickly and it is awesome to see the change. She sucks on her fingers A LOT now, she is obsessed with her face and head, and she is loving her swing and little play gym. Her nails are still growing so quickly and we are alays having to file them because she is so obsessed with her face. She still manages to make scratches though. She enjoys hanging out in her swing (of course she has to be in a certain mood) and a few times she fell asleep and slept for 3 hours. She smiles ALL the time and coos and laughs a lot too. The last couple days I have even heard her snort a few times. It is very funny!! She is awake a lot more during the day now and sleeping a lot better at night time. We have had some fussy days lately because she is trying so hard to not fall asleep. Some days it is impossible to get her to sleep more than 20 mins for a nap.

We have been pretty busy. This past weekend Brandon's brothers, Jason and Jerimy, came for a visit. It was REALLY great to see them. Of course they were excited to meet Sarah too. Jason really helped with her a lot. Of course he was great because of all those kids he is always around at his house. On Sat Grandma Diane watched Sarah for a little while so we can hang out with Jason and Jerimy on our own. We went to Dave & Busters and it was a lot of fun.

Lastly, today was Grandpa Jim's birthday. We showed up at his work with some giant cookies and balloons to surprise him. Of course he did not tell anyone that today was his birthday (Michelle and I thought that would be the case, hahaha). It was a great seeing his face and meeting the people he works with.

JOE: Below are the pics from what we got him. You were included on all of it. It is from ALL of us :-)

We will update again soon. I am sure we will be taking more pics this weekend with it being Easter and Sarah receiving her "Easter Box" from Grandma Tamela, I mean, the Easter Bunny. HAHAHAHA! Don't worry Tamela, I will be sure to get pics of her with her box.

Hope everyone is well. Love,
Sue, Brandon, and Sarah

Another Snowy Day!

Brandon and I were just talking this weekend about how most of Sarah's really warm clothes were in the size 0-3 (which she is JUST starting to fit into) and she is so small that by the time she can really wear them it will be too warm out. Then what happens..... we get 10 inches of snow yesterday and she gets to wear one of her warm outfits. As you can see in the pics above, it is still pretty big on her, but we had her wear it anyway ;)

We also got great news yesterday. Brandon's brothers are coming for a visit on March 14th. We are so excited to see them and will make sure to get plenty of pics of them and Sarah!!

That's it for now!!
